If your property is subject to inundation, your sewerage unit will likely enter alarm mode but will usually clear within one hour. However, you can shut off the alarm by pressing the alarm button on the underside of the system on the wall of your home.
Under these circumstances, you should make a determined effort to minimise the wastewater generated. Two examples include, minimising shower times, and not using dishwashers or washing machines.
Get acquainted with your neighbours and get their approval to deactivate their sewerage alarm on their system if they have evacuated or are not at home and their sewerage unit enters alarm mode.
